Lady Who Was A Registered Nurse In Nigeria Relocates To UK, Starts New Job, Says “She Has Been Progressing In Every Aspect Of Her Career Path”

A lady named Blessing Patrick has shared an amazing testimony with friends on LinkedIn, read her post below:

MY JOURNEY SO FAR AS A 🇬🇧 UK RN!

I had practiced as a registered nurse for 7 years in Nigeria 🇳🇬 my home country .

However, On the 20th of February 2020, a day I was meant to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. I set out on a lone journey towards my personal / career growth and development.

I came into the 🇬🇧 United Kingdom during the peak of covid pandemic (such challenging times) in 2020 and worked as a Band 3/4 (somewhere in between those) until the OSCE test centres reopened and I took the qualifying exam together with my cohorts. Although I had a resit, I retook the exam and scaled through sccessfully at my second attempt at becoming a Band 5 ( staff nurse) UK RN 🇬🇧

Since then I have progressed in every aspect of my personal / career path. Not limited to these areas – I have developed excellent interpersonal relationship skills, I communicate better with the multi disciplinary team, my approach to patient care (more holistic), evidence based approach towards nursing and patient safety. I have developed new skills, taken advantage of leadership and management opportunities and currently furthering my education here in the UK 🇬🇧 while chasing my dream within the nursing career .

Today, I have been given the opportunity to take up a new role as a Band 6 Practice Education Facilitator (OSCE TEAM) to support international nurses like myself in order to help them see opportunities, flourish, grow and develop within their nursing career in the UK 🇬🇧 and ultimately become successful and role model kind of nurses.

This is not to brag but to remind you that HARDWORK & CONSISTENCY PAYS🎉 and most of all that “YOU CAN”!
Have faith in God and work☺️
