“He Got A Job At The Warehouse In The UK One Week After His Arrival” -Nigerian Lady Shares The Challenges Her Husband Encountered Before Joining Her In The UK 6 Months After She Arrived 3 Years Ago

A couple in the UK named the Obi’s corner on Facebook has shared their relocation story.

The wife who landed in the UK in year 2022, shares the reason that delayed her husband from joining her immediately. And how she used her influence to get him a job barely one week after his arrival.

Sharing a photo of her husband on Facebook, she wrote:

“First year in the UK…. Trying to balance life and new environment.

I came into the UK May 2022 and my husband joined me November 2022(that’s 6 months later).

Before he came, we have started applying for jobs online as though he was already in the Uk. They will book interview and we will email back to say the date wasn’t convenient, if they can give us a forward date. Interview for someone that was still in Nigeria 😂waiting for his passport to be released by Ikoyi passport office. Those winches kept saying there was no booklet (very frustr@t!ng thing).

Anyways , passport later came out and that same day we applied for Visa and my Swthrt was even saying we should do express visa before job finishes in the UK before he comes 😂I still tease him with that 😂.

Well, long story short, we applied to do his visa biometric in the Visa Centre Victoria Island Lagos and pay extra £50 for that . This was because Ikeja visa decision takes longer time. 8 days after his biometrics, his visa came out and out of joy, we booked flight immediately 💃 .

My Swthrt landed UK and all those company refused replying our email but with the help of my colleague whose husband was working in a warehouse, he got him a slot at his work place and he started immediately , that’s 1 week after his arrival.
