UK-Based Nigerian Care Giver Bilikesu Olagunju, Caught On Hidden Camera Violently Abusing 88-Year-Old Dementia Patient Before He Died
A UK-based Nigerian care worker, Bilikesu Olagunju, has been captured on hidden camera violently abusing 88-year-old dementia patient, John Attard, just days before the elderly man died.
According to Mail Online, the shocking incident occurred on Christmas Eve 2022 at Attard’s home in Bexley, Kent.
Olagunju, who had been employed as a carer for only six days by Unique Personnel UK, was secretly recorded by a camera installed by the victim’s son, Chris Attard.
The footage showed Olagunju forcibly stripping the frail pensioner, threatening to beat him, and ignoring his repeated cries of pain.
At one point, she told him: “Maybe I will beat you up. I will flog you. I will take you to the GP to get injections. I will call the police on you.”
She was also seen pouring marmalade into his coffee, fully aware of his diabetes, and dragging him by the arm and collar, leaving him visibly distressed.
On Christmas morning, Attard was found unresponsive with blood on his face. He was taken to the hospital and remained unconscious until his death ten days later.
While a post-mortem examination could not definitively link the abuse to his death, the timing raised serious concerns.
Olagunju pleaded guilty at Woolwich Crown Court to one count of ill-treatment or wilful neglect of a person lacking mental capacity.
She was handed a six-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to complete 50 hours of unpaid community service.
Reacting to the verdict, Chris Attard called the sentence “an insult,” insisting that Olagunju’s actions played a direct role in his father’s tragic death.
