AYRA STARR: TG is amazing and I’ve always respected him. We were going to work together at one point and one thing led to the other, it happened with “Rush”.

Speaking about importance of expressing her creativity when creating music videos, Ayra Starr said:

AYRA STARR: I always have my creative input, even when everything is set, if there’s anything I think should be included or removed to make it perfect I always express myself. But not in a way that stands in the way of the director’s creativity.

Speaking about the struggles they faced filming the music video in Lagos, Nigeria, both TG Omori and Ayra starr had this to say:

TG OMORI: It was difficult but impossible is not a thing over here. Especially with the hood setup, as filming got prohibited and we weren’t informed till the day of the shoot. Shout out to the team and God we were able to pull through the hurdles.

AYRA STARR: I was having to stretch myself even with the crazy schedule at the time. Coming back into the country right in time for the shoot and leaving right after.

Talking about what they want viewers to take away from the music video, TG and Ayra said:

TG OMORI: The main message was the fact that she is blessed beyond material things, being blessed starts from the state of the mind which is where she was at the time.

AYRA STARR: I really just wanted and still want them to feel good about themselves.
