South African actress Nomasebe Andrea Dondolo has praised a young man for helping her when her car broke down.
Dondolo’s video was shared on South Africa Live’s Facebook page on Tuesday and it went viral, reaching over 76 000 views in less than a day. “Yesterday I went to run an errand. When the time came to leave, my car wouldn’t start. Called roadside assistance was told ‘car out of warranty’ , called insurance and was told they will tow it to East London or PE,” Dondolo said.
She added: “My cousin’s colleague passes and asks what’s wrong. I tell him and he says, while you calling your insurance, let me bring you a mechanic.“ A 15-year-old learner then helped Dondolo fix up the car and she did not have to take the vehicle in.
The young man’s skills inspired South Africans to share encouraging comments after watching the video. Letsatsi Molo commented: “Please you guys around the area take this talent and groom it! It will benefit you one day.”
Gandalf Brucher added: “Well done to the young man! So cool to see a young fella pull in, assist these ladies in need and sort out the problem. We need more people like this. Nice one!”
Mdu Thando wrote: “Anyone with a workshop around the area needs to nurture this talent as soon as possible.”
Siyabonga C-ya Mkhatshwa commented: “This kid has a great future ahead of him.”
