Please tell us more about your business.

My line of business is digital consulting with special emphasis on blogging, social media and email marketing.

I create courses around these areas, I coach people and also consult.

What inspired you to start up your business?

Having worked in a top Nigerian bank for about 2 years, I wasn’t really satisfied with that fact that I couldn’t make decisions on my own terms.

I usually wake up everyday really depressed and with an intense urge to start my own business.

After a while, I gave in and dropped my resignation letter. I haven’t looked back ever since. The journey hasn’t been an easy one but I’m enjoying every bit of it.

How were you able to raise fund for this business?

I started my business from ground zero, with no funds. Though, I was able to get some business tools before I resigned from the bank but when I started fully, I had almost nothing.

I was able to grow really fast because I networked with other great minds, I gave people so much value upfront and then put myself out there. That was the springboard to my business growth.

As a digital consultant, it is only natural that I use digital means in promoting my business.

How do you advertise your business?

I mainly use Facebook ads, through my blog (content marketing) and then email marketing.

I also use some form of influencer marketing techniques to promote my business.

Where do you think your brand would be in the next five years?

In the next 5 years, my business should have evolved into something bigger than me, employing really smart people across Africa.

The business should get into other African countries, starting from year 2018.

Will you say your business has yielded it profits?

It feels so good, I can make decisions on my terms and also fail without the fear of getting sacked.

It has been an awesome journey so far.
